I clicked through an e-mail for the 4th if July Blowout Sale with free shipping over $45. I put $50 worth of items in my cart and proceeded to checkout.

The checkout page displayed the sale prices, all ending in .oo. A promo code was already entered, and shipping was showing as free. The total displayed in the checkout page was $52.25. I entered my credit card information and clicked the purchase button.

After the page refreshed to show the completed order, the total had magically transformed into $64.16! I called the customer service, and they just kept telling me that I had entered the wrong promo code and I was only entitled to free shipping, not the sale prices. Bull. If I wasn't getting the sale prices, then why were they showing on the checkout page?

If I was going to be charged $64.16 then that should have been displayed on the checkout page. The total I was looking at when I clicked "purchase" was $52.25.

To change the total after the fact is nothing less than fraud and deceit. They just hope that people aren't paying attention and won't notice.

Reason of review: Order processing issue.

Monetary Loss: $12.

Preferred solution: Price reduction.
